Providence, Rhode Island is one of the oldest cities in the United States. It is home to Brown University (where Brady works!) and has a thriving arts and culture scene thanks to the Rhode Island School of Design, one of the most prestigious art and design schools in the world. While you are here, we highly recommend visiting the RISD Museum if you have time.

Providence is also known for its well-preserved 18th and 19th century neighborhoods. Benefit Street, where the Providence Athenæum is located, is nicknamed the "Mile of History" for one of the most impressive concentrations of original Colonial archiecture in the country. While we know it will be December, we recommend bundling up to explore the city and also taking some time to admire Rhode Island's beautiful coastline.

Traveling to Providence

For those arriving by car: Providence is located on U.S. Interstate 95. In addition to parking available to hotel guests, street parking is available throughout the city and there are private parking lots available downtown for a daily fee.

For those arriving by train: Providence is served by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's Commmuter Rail (Providence/Stoughton Line) and Amtrak's Acela and Northeast Regional lines.

For those arriving by air: Providence is served by Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport (PVD), which is about 15 minutes away from the reception venue. Logan International Airport (BOS) is located about 55 miles Northeast of Providence, and is easily accessible via a 40 minute ride on the Commuter Rail or Amtrak to/from downtown Providence to Boston's South Station.
